What is Regenerative Injection Therapy?
The term Regenerative Injection Therapy (RIT) was invented by Dr. Linetsky in 1999, to bring together all known advocates of sclerotherapy and prolotherapy under one umbrella and to simplify the explanation to general public. RIT is defined as a treatment for painful degenerative musculoskeletal injuries and diseases utilizing chemical and biologic agents. This definition is based on the current understanding of the pathology and the healing process.

Platelet Rich Plasma
At RIT Florida we offer Platelet Rich Plasma injections for treating chronic pain and degenerative joints. Platelet Rich Plasma is a concentrated portion of the patient’s own blood with up to 5 times the amount of platelets as in the regular blood. Platelets are special blood cells that contain numerous growth factors which, when injected into the area of injury, greatly enhance the body’s natural healing capacity. This treatment leads to a faster and better restoration of the injured area to a healthy state.
At RIT Florida our goal is to identify each and every source of your problem and provide specific, effective treatment with many different Regenerative Injection Therapy solutions including Platelet Rich Plasma when needed.

What to Expect at RIT Florida
At RIT Florida we pride ourselves on providing personal care for all of our patients. Appointments are scheduled with ample time per visit and the wait to be seen by the doctor is minimal. For fastest service, please bring filled out new patient forms with all of your information.
Your initial consult with Dr. Linetsky will last approximately one hour. In that time, Dr. Linetsky will begin with a discussion of your present problem and pertinent medical history. If you have brought MRI’s or x-rays, Dr. Linetsky will review them and explain his findings. A thorough, hands-on physical examination of the affected area(s) will follow.
If you are a candidate for Regenerative Injection Therapy, you will be able to start treatment that same day should you wish to do so. The RIT injections are minimally invasive and are as safe or safer than many other injection procedures employed in contemporary injection medicine. The average patient has some soreness or discomfort after the treatment which can usually be managed by Tylenol and most patients return to work the same day. Nearly all patients report significant relief and improved function after 6 to 8 treatments. However, each patient’s genetic makeup is unique and that alone will determine what’s best for you.
